My favorite Nightmare painting

The painting is by Fuseli.  He painted a few nightmare paintings
Isn't this a great painting?  It was used on the cover of a Ray Bradbury book.  That was the first time I ever saw it.  The painting is great, and the Bradbury book is really a great read.

This must have triggered my dream

I was looking for abandoned hospital photos on the web Sunday.  This one starred in my mental hospital dream!  It reminds me of an asylum that family members of mine were committed.
The difference was that the hospital in Little Rock had a huge grassy yard with benches where patients sat and white coated attendants observed.

I was in a mental hospital last night

Last night's dream was long and involved.  I was committed to a dismal mental hospital, paint peeling on the walls, nasty staff.....a la "Snakepit".  LOL.  I was trying to leave, but they would keep dragging me back.  The equipment was something out of a steampunk movie! Very scary Victorian nightmare!   Outside was all dark and stormy. (I woke up and got a drink of water, and went back to bed.)  I returned to the hospital, but the attendent said I could accompany a group of patients on a trip to town.
We walked in a line, with attends watching us closely.  The rain was pouring down.  We got to town, which was a classic main street with covered sidewalk.  The only place open was a strange bookstore.
I started browsing the shelves...it was filled with lost works, unknown books by my favorite authors!
Poe and Mark Twain had all kinds of books,  I was so excited.  I started to stack the books I wanted on the floor.  I was just opened "Return of Dracula" by Bram Stoker, when I woke.
It would be wonderful to have more books from my favorite authors, and more ancient histories to have survived!

Kinda Odd

Last night I was dressing for work.  My son was about 5 years old and I was staying at my Mom's house.  We seemed to be driving a strange boxy white car.  We stopped at a one stop that had a circular with lots of different types of chocolate fruit creams.  I had to go to the bathroom and waited outside the door until a lady came out.  There were a lot of people waiting with me.  I went in.  The bathroom was huge, with a stack of clothing on a chair, some dozen slippers on the floor, and four bicycles lined up in front of another door.  In the corner was the commode.  I was about to use it when the door by the bicycles opened up and a youngish man with lots of facial stubble came out.  He took one of the bicycles while I crossly told him "why didn't you leave that thing outside".  I was getting ready to leave the bathroom when I realized there was no sink to wash my hands.  Then I realized the clothes and slippers on the chair and floor were mine.  I was busy picking everything up.  I realized the slippers were my pink panther slippers.  I remembered the line of people and left the bathroom.  I went out front where my Mom and kid were putting purchases in the back seat.  My Mom then took pictures of my son,
and the driver of our car opened the door and started to get him.  He was a very angry looking clown in full makeup but wearing a grey suit.

Earliest dream that I remember

I couldn't sleep last night, so I have no dream to publish.  So I thought I would post an early dream from my childhood.  I was about 6 years old and dreamed that there was a monster living in my closet.  It was covered with thick blue hair, and had eyes set on stalks.  It had huge claws and it grabbed me up and rubbed lotion all over my stomach.  I refused to let the closet door be open at night after that.  LOL

Last Night

Glamour Kitty traveled to the USSR last night, a trip in both miles and time!  I snuck into the empire, and went to a theatre where I found a fabulous pair of red leather platform heels!
All in all, a good dream
